Healing & DMILS
- Treating Pain without Use of Drugs – by RainTurtle (aka Rainsong)
Describes several methods including using energy to “brush” away debris in the field so that energy can flow more smoothly, “cool and soothing” psiballs, colored psiballs, blocking signals in nerves by visualizing a “switchboard” or numbing “cotton wool”, and replacing sensations (like substituting pressure instead of pain). Includes some cautions about dealing with pain safely.
- Rudimentary Healing – by RainTurtle (aka Rainsong)
Explains basic field cleaning and a few healing techniques including using a color construct to soothe pain, smoothing the field, and running energy through an area in pain. Includes cautions about doing healing safely.
- Medical Issues – by Rainsong
Explains how psionics, if practiced without taking appropriate precautions, can kill you. Discusses various medical issues in relation to the practice of psionics, including diabetes, hypoglycemia, and hypokalemia. Includes lists of warning signs and precautions that should be taken. Also discusses how psionic healing can go wrong if the healer does not have enough knowledge about anatomy and physiology. Notes that the idea that psi can only be used for good and if the healer has good intentions they can’t do any harm is wrong.
- Basics Class 11: Non-psionic Healing Modalities – by Nevyn
Gives a history of Usui Reiki and an explanation of the various attunements. Includes information on the energy type itself and a demo for scanning, as well as for two other types of Reiki (Karuna and Kundalini) that the teacher has found useful. Briefly discusses Chios and Therapeutic Touch.
- How to do a Rudimentary Energy Healing – by Rainsong
I think I now have a new favourite method for basic long-distance healing. It has been useful on several occasions this summer, it is pretty simple, and it is vaguely based on an approach from Stephen Co’s book Your Hands Can Heal You. There’ll be a mini-review of the book on […]
- The Health and Wellness Construct – by Kettle
- Basics of Healing – by Neveza
Explains how healing is a branch of Direct Mental Interaction with Living Systems (DMILS) and involves a mix of different skills–energy manipulation, psychokinesis, empathy, telepathy, and clairvoyance. Describes a visualization technique for healing involving color. Discusses ethics and recommends practicing on oneself so that others are not harmed. Includes cautions about relying on psionic healing, and urges healers to research what they are trying to heal thoroughly.
- Intermediate Combat – by Stolide Demens
Gives general tips for energetic combat, including never appearing as you actually are, never using the same attack twice, and using psychology to your advantage. Explains why shields are ultimately useless and describes unconventional attacks and defenses, like using telepathic suggestion and constructs designed to test your opponent for weaknesses. Also covers affecting the physical body during combat, for example causing pain by manipulating the nerves.
- Healing2 – by SpilledChemicals
Explains what the energy body is and how it is important to healing. Describes how to find one’s center and sense one’s energy body. Gives visualizations for closing energy “wounds” and preventing them from leaking energy. Explains how improperly healed wounds can form blockages resulting in decreased energy flow and negative energy, as well as how to clear blockages and how injuring or healing the energetic body can affect the physical. Includes warnings about which energy to use, shielding while healing, and energy scaring.
- The Uses of Psi – by JediKaren
Describes some common problems that newbies tend to have with practicing (lack of motivation, no teacher, not knowing how to train or use abilities in everyday life). Explains situations in which various abilities can be used, including empathy, telepathy, clairvoyance, remote presence, scanning, psychokinesis, meditation, astral projection, precognition, healing, and constructs. Warns against using psi in ways that could ruin your reputation or those of psions in general.
- Essential Skills for Everyday Psions – by NeoPsychic
Describes several useful psionic skills that can be used on a daily basis, including using your sub-conscious to wake up at a particular time or remind you of important things, using psi to moderate body temperature, and numbing body parts for mild pain relief.
- NORCA Seminar: Control & Alteration of the Physical Body – by RainTurtle (aka Rainsong)
Inspired by the abilities of one of the psi-Orders in the fictional Aeon Trinity, this class discusses control of one’s “involuntary” physical functions (such as bloodflow, body temperature, pulse, etc.) via biofeedback. Includes cautions about doing biofeedback safely.
- Healing Manual – by Annie
Outlines several techniques including both those that can be used in person or over a distance: Pulling the problem out of the body psionically, Reiki (physical, and emotional/mental healing), massage, acupuncture, and cupping. Includes some examples of conditions that the healing techniques can be applied to. Encourages thorough knowledge of the body and what is going wrong before attempting healing, and stresses the importance of getting permission from the person to be healed.
- Empathy and Healing – by Annie
Describes how empathy can be used in healing work. For example, using physical empathy to get a clear picture of what is going on with a person’s body, then using projective empathy/telepathy to direct the body on how to heal itself. Gives other excellent recommendations for becoming a good healer, and how to approach various common problems.

- Reflexology – by Kiwi Kid
- An Introduction to Reiki – by Kara
Explains that Reiki is a type of energy manipulation used for healing. Mentions some of the origins of the system briefly, and some of the spiritual ideals that are often taught. Stresses that attunements are necessary, describes the levels of attunement, and recounts the author’s experience. Includes suggestions for further reading.
- Managing Pain – by JediKaren
Explains that while pain can sometimes be beneficial, it can also be relieved psionicly by numbing the area. Gives an example of “erasing” the pain, or imagining the pain as “red” that is carried away by “blue” psi.
- Healing Headaches – by JediKaren
Describes common psionic and non-psionic causes for headaches, and steps that should be taken for each. Recommends “separating” the person’s mind from the pain so that the body can heal it. (Note: linking with a person who has a headache or other injury is not recommended, as their pain can cloud the healer’s mind and make it more difficult to focus.)
- Psionics, how to get better without practice – by Stolide Demens
Explains how to incorporate psionics into everyday life so that separate practice sessions are no longer necessary. Lists ideas for telepathy, psychokinesis, empathy, energy manipulation, clairvoyance, and healing.
- Other Skills Q&A – by PsiPog
Answers to various member-submitted questions about Out of Body Experiences, Pendling, Dreams and Dreamwalking, Healing, Remote Presence, Phasing, and other skills.
- FAQ: Healing – by Shifted Perspectives
A list of answers to commonly asked questions about both healing others and oneself, the kinds of things that are possible, and how to practice healing safely.
- About Healing, Learning To Train While Sick – by JediKaren
Describes gentle training exercises to increase your ability to use psi while you are sick, and three states in which healing can occur more quickly: sleep, meditation, and trancing (Note: the author’s definition/description of trancing is non-standard). Recommendations on healing specifically are limited to staying open to the flow of energy and checking to see if the brain is preventing the body from healing (does not give details on how). Gives time-limits for safe healing sessions on self or others, and cautions that being around people who are sick can make your body think it is sick. (Note: if healing is done correctly the given time-limits are not needed. Also, the energy body is resilient and does not “catch” illness from someone else’s energy, although grounding and centering before and after healing is helpful for both parties).
