New Feature: Recommended Reading

This feature started out as a technical curiosity (i.e. “I wonder if I could…”) but I’ve been very pleased with the result. I follow quite a few RSS feeds of psi and parapsychology-related blogs and sites. Some of them are quite interesting, but entering every individual post into the database as an “article” was not feasible.

I recently finished setting up a neat bit of code that pulls those interesting posts straight from my RSS reader and onto the Recommended Reading page. So if you ever want something new to read, that would be the place to check.

I’ve also updated the sidebar to be more useful–instead of just navigation links, it lists some of the most recent updates in each category–articles, recommended reading, and blogs–so that it’s easy to see what’s new at a glance. And if you subscribe to Sunora’s RSS feed, you will get a weekly summary of all categories of updates.

As always, please let me know what you think of this new feature and if you run into any problems. Also, if you have any feeds that you think should appear on Recommended Reading, feel free to send them my way and I’ll take a look. :)
